Berggasthof Stubenwasen in Todtnauberg

Wanted to eat here on a Sunday afternoon hike. The way from the Todtnauer Hütte via Stübenwasen here is really very beautiful. Despite the many hikers on the way, the hut was not very crowded. Probably it is also because there was a note outside that was closed from October - 50 m further on the trail sign said that it was open. The first impression was not particularly inviting. Everything rustic, which is not bad but otherwise untidy. Likewise inside, actually very nice everything with a lot of wood but everything looks worn and loveless. Unfortunately, this impression has not really improved even with the food. The service was very friendly and nice. The salad wasn't fresh at all, radish, carrot and lettuce were all labber-rich. The Käsespätzle and the Maultaschen were warmed up in the microwave. All in all, the food was tasty, but it was still very heavy in our stomachs in the evening. What a shame !!!! With a little more commitment, you could really do more here, even in times of Corona, especially since the location is excellent.

A welcome stop after crossing the Feldberg in deep snow!

Very nice stay, good food and drink, nice hospitality, service is good!

Unfortunately the few tables (5?) Outside were full. The lawn was mowed. It would have been easy to set up tables and entertain people here. Especially since the other guest house is on vacation below the Feldberg. So we and others had to go on. Prosperity spoiled.

The service was very nice, but if I have to wait half an hour for a wheat beer ... well ... what a shame ... would have liked to have had a second one

Unfortunately, e-bikes can only be charged after discussion and begging and only one at a time. In my opinion, this does not correspond to what an inn in the tourist bike Black Forest should offer today. Food tasted ok, portions are not too big. Service is friendly.

The location is just great, in the middle of nature, the Feldberg not far, silence in the evening, no WiFi, no TV in the rooms, just wonderful. But the innkeeper could really be a bit friendlier and make the guest feel welcome. I miss that. Therefore a star deduction.

We were there again. Unfortunately, a little hospitality and commitment is missing here. The rustic style is perfect for a hut but does everything really have to be so unloving?

Good barroom with very good dishes that are well worth their price. Pleasant atmosphere! Directly in front of the inn a very scenic trail starts. Also a walk up to the Feldberg of only 7 km one way is highly recommended. And the night sky is also fantastic.

We were yesterday at the Berggasthof Stübenwasen, the food was good so far, the service friendly and satisfactory. But I read the recessions somewhat astonished, because what is written is outrageous, I notice that there is no counter notification, so I have to assume that the recessions are correct. I don't want to get into such an uncomfortable situation where people pull me behind my back etc. and will therefore prefer a different inn in the future.

"I wish you would never be our guest again" - with these words we were said goodbye after waiting two hours for our meal and asking friendly questions. If you had forgotten our order, we thought that you could at least have come to us with the drinks. Wrong thought! And dear landlady: You said that we are happy to give a 1-star rating on Google. Said and done ;)

Very quiet. You can eat well at good prices. When we are in Todtnau Berg we are always looking forward to a good meal at the Berggasthof Stüben Wasen. The Berggasthof has been in family ownership for a long time. The silence is just great. Since you can really relax. We are very happy to go there.

After a long day of hiking we stopped in and received a very warm welcome. There was delicious home-baked cake price performance top ever again.

Only for a small break I was here but it was worth it. Nice service and a tasty soup.

Very good breakfast. Good dinner. The rooms are clean. Helpful host. Ideal for West Wegler. Quiet altitude. Pure nature.

Friendly staff, even though there was nothing on the menu i could get something vegan (freshly picked blueberries with sugar). The poor guy had a new machine and didnt know how to handle it right, so we got a dish more, but that wasnt a Problem.
